This is a knitting pattern for a lace christening gown which we have digitalised as a pdf file and which originally dates from the 1940s. Its made from a very beautiful lace stitch and uses 2 ply yarn for a very fine and delicate effect. It is designed to fit an 18 inch chest. As always, to help you we give you the modern size equivalent needles to use in the text of the pattern.
