This is a sewing pattern for a lovely hat storage box, which dates from the 1940s wartime era. As written, it is for a 17 and a half by 14 inch box with a 7 inch depth, but as it is so simple t make, once you have made it once and understood the process, you will be able to make boxes of other sizes. These boxes would look so pretty in lots of lovely fabrics or even a patchwork of fabrics.
