This is a sewing pattern for a very chic 1940s wartime lace net easy to make cape. The cape is made from very simple shaped pieces and is easy to make from the diagrams shown and instructions given. This pattern is particularly good for weddings and bridal wear as made up in cream and white modern or vintage laces and nets it would look gorgeous! Some enterprising sewers have even made this from lace doilies or pretty printed hankies sewn together to make the basic shape, and machine embroiderers could have a ball embroidering the fabric before its made up...
