Vintage 1940s Knitting Pattern- pretty wartime tyrolean style embroidered sweater

This is a pdf of a very old knitting pattern from the 1940s for a very pretty and unusual tyrolean blouse sweater- perfect for 1940s re-enacters, but also pretty with jeans today

Please note that this requires embroidery skills- the flower designs are not knitted into the sweater as you knit it, they are embroidered on afterwards. The pattern does give the embroidery instructions of the shapes and stitches required. You could also embroider your own designs onto this and/or use stick and stitch embroidery patterns of your choice for this.

A vintage 3 ply yarn was used for this, but please check your tension- the original pattern fits a 34-5 inch chest so if you need a more ample modern size maybe try a 4 ply yarn with larger needles...
