Vintage 1940s Knitting Pattern- wartime lace stitch sweater

This is a pdf of a very old knitting pattern from the 1940s for a lovely lace stitch sweater- these were very popular in wartime uk because as well as looking pretty and feminine they used less yarn than normal jumers and so worked well when rationing was in place.

The yarn used was a 2 ply, the original pattern fits a 35 inch chest so if you need a more ample modern size maybe try a 3-4 ply yarn.
