This is a pdf to download of a very old knitting pattern from the 1940s wartime era for a set of art deco knitted and crocheted handbags.

There's a lovely page about yarn being not always available due to rationing which is a lovely historial touch for the 1940s re-enacters.

The patterns use odds and ends of 3 ply yarn so they are very 'make do and mend' style
