This is a knitting pattern which dates from the 1940s for a lovely lace stitch baby matinee jacket, booties and bonnet. The original yarn was a vintage 3 ply, but the pattern uses 3.25mm needles so a modern thin 4 ply might work well for this but please check your tension before starting. (8 sts per inch) Its for a 'first size' and the jacket will fit an 18 inch chest. Its very pretty with its frilled neckline, wrists and bonnet and would look good in either pastle colours or modern brights
