This is a wonderful old vintage advert which dates from the very early 1930s (1932) for Shell petrol- it features a letter from a very indignant battleaxe called 'Mrs Sounding-Wallop' to the Shell management- 'gentlemen, my husband has fled on your petrol because he said he could be Sure of Shell. What, as honourable men,do you propose to do about it?' A taste of early 1930s humour! We have carefully removed the page from a publication of that year and as such it does have text on the rear. The page measures approx 8 and a half inches by 11 and a half inches and has a slight silk sheen.
Our vintage adverts are sent out in clear resealable cello bags and in board backed envelopes ready for you to matte/frame yourself.
